WINONA, Minnesota (WXOW) — We now know which teams are heading to Super Bowl LVI, which means that sports memorabilia production is ramping up at WinCraft in Winona.
“NFL is the granddaddy of them all. It’s the best event we have, no matter which team wins,” said Dave Schipper, Director of Planning at WinCraft.
Everything starts in September.
“We get a style guide, we have to put our graphics together, we get a look and a feel,” said Schipper.
Things start in January when teams get tighter.
“If a specific team wins, then we only do preprints for that specific team that’s actually going to win,” said WinCraft contributor Marco Cavazos.
Cavazos works with decals and stickers.
Other domestically manufactured products include lanyards, towels, can coolers, pennants, and key rings. WinCraft will ship products and be on the market starting Tuesday.
“Our towel will be on the field after the Super Bowl game. It’s all made in Winona, Minnesota,” Schipper said.
