Casper Local Hoop Shoot is December 4th at Casper College. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. Registration is free for boys and girls who will be between 8 and 13 years old on April 1, 2022 and live within a radius of 80 km from Casper. The winners advance in county, state, and regional hoop shoot competitions. Regional winners will qualify to compete in the National Hoop Shoot Finals in Chicago, IL. If you know any children or have children interested in competing, please bring them to Casper College T-Bird Gym. This event is free and public. The Elks memorial service will take place on Sunday, December 5th. It pays homage to those who started another journey. Casper Elks will honor their deceased members at this time, for members in 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. We cordially invite widows, relatives and friends of the member. Starts upstairs at 1:00 PM in the Bob Cates Ballroom.
Saturday December 11th is Casper Elk’s first spouse lunch. It takes place from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please limit your guests to young people and older. The lodge provides soup and crackers, please bring a dessert to share. We will host an exchange of wrapped ornaments (value max. $ 10) for those who wish to attend. We will also be giving decorative ornaments (provided) to admire and take away. Please register at the bar by December 9th. All spouses are welcome.

The Candy Sacking Party will take place on Wednesday December 15th. We’re going to let the sweets and treats sag for the children’s Christmas party on December 24th. The children’s Christmas party at Casper Elks Lodge will take place on Friday, December 24th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Get the kids to play and sing Christmas carols and see Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus! Receive a sack full of goodies! This is public.

New Year’s “Happening” a Clue Mystery Dinner is on December 31st from 6pm to 8pm. The cost is $ 15 per person with hors d’oeuvres provided. Please register at the bar. The theme is’ 60s, so if you still have your outfits from last crime dinner, stop by and have some more fun. After dinner there will be music from The Avengers from 8 p.m., party favors and champagne toast at midnight. Members, partners and guests accompanied by a member. Gun Club hosts meat shoots
The Rocky Mountain Gun Club is hosting a meat shoot for $ 5 per round on Friday, December 4th, from 5pm to 10pm. Bring your family and friends and have fun shooting clay targets. Dress warmly, you never know what the weather will be like. Ladies bring your friends and show your shooting skills. We are open every Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. for practicing. Stammtisch meets monthly
The Casper German Stammtisch meets on December 9th, January 20th, February 17th, March 10th, April 21st and May 19th every month at 6 p.m. in the Gruner Brothers brewery.
Our regulars’ table, which was launched in 2003, is an informal hosted meeting for everyone who is interested in most things German and German-American, from history to cars, food, vacations and much more. Both English and German are spoken.

Reservations open for the Historic Society Christmas Banquet
Reservations are being made for the Natrona County Historical Society’s annual Christmas Banquet on December 9th at the Clarion Inn. The program will be presented by Dale Bohren, recently retired publisher emeritus of the Casper Star-Tribune, who will report on his life and time in Casper’s “Looking Back: A Retrospective”. The sociable time starts at 5:30 p.m. with an evening buffet at 6:00 p.m. The cost per person is $ 31.50. Checks can be sent to Becky Steensland 224 E. 15th Casper, WY 82601. Modellbahnclub sets events
We’re proud to announce our 7th annual event helping the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center celebrate the holidays. At the same time we announce that we will not be in the clubhouse in December.
We will be returning to the clubhouse in January and during our regular opening hours. These opening times are the same for the rest of November: Wednesdays from 11am to 2pm; Fridays from 7pm to 10pm and Saturdays from 12pm to 4pm
We had one of our more successful open house events from May 5th to 7th. November. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this endeavor. We couldn’t have done it without you! By members of the Central Wyoming Model Railroad Association.

Change of schedule for Caps 4 children
Anyone who knits or crochets CAPS 4 KIDS will recognize that, due to the holidays in November or December, we usually don’t see each other again until January. However, the senior center has allowed us to change our schedule for the remaining months of 2021. So we plan to meet on Wednesday December 15th. Bring your needles and plan to come and see us around 12:30 pm these Wednesdays. There is yarn as well as a few patterns. It will be a good time to see your latest creation and catch up on vacation plans.

Quilts of Valor in Central Wyoming
Every Wednesday, the Central Wyoming Quilts of Valor welcomes all quilters and long sleeve quilters. Crossroads Quilters is a local chapter of the Quilts of Valor Foundation, a statewide foundation. We meet on Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the VFW on Bryan Stock Trail in Caper to sew quilts that will be given out to military personnel and veterans affected by the war. Fabric, wadding and quilting are provided.
