In its third year, Ricoh Canada was recognized for its efforts to promote sustainability and energy efficiency to drive lasting change – for the better.
MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 8, 2022 /cnw/ – Ricoh Canada Inc. proudly announces today that it has received the 2022 ENERGY STAR® Canada Manufacturer of the Year Award for Electronics, a Natural Resources Canada program. This latest award marks the third year that Ricoh Canada has received this recognition, reaffirming its contributions to promoting energy efficiency in Canadaand his commitment to a better and more sustainable society.

It also undertook a product line consolidation to refine its offering for the Canadian market, simplifying the consumer selection process and providing the best match for their needs.
Improved outreach initiatives – An advocate for ENERGY STAR For years, Ricoh Canada has increased its outreach and awareness efforts among its customers, partners and employees through its internal and external communications strategies – resulting in a 45 percent increase in web traffic to pages containing ENERGY from 2019 to 2021 STAR references.
Energy efficient product innovation – Ricoh Canada continues to innovate in technology that contributes to the achievement of a zero-carbon society, with products and services that provide the economic benefit of energy savings without compromising the company’s productivity.
Driving sustainability for the future As a company, Ricoh is committed to reducing its direct and indirect greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from its own manufacturing facilities, offices and vehicles, as well as the consumption of energy and heat it purchases, by 63 percent by 2030. Ricoh promises an additional 40 percent reduction in emissions in its operations supply chain and a shift to 50 percent electricity from renewable sources. By 2050, Ricoh is aiming for zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain and transitioning to 100 percent renewable electricity. Ricoh will continue to drive initiatives to reduce its environmental footprint and align its sustainability activities with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – a global partnership to address the challenges our world faces.
