Punjab-based textile manufacturer goes solar with 5MWp rooftop PV system – pv magazine India

Roofsol Energy, a Mumbai-based onsite solar power provider, is installing a 5MWp solar project for Punjab-based ST Cottex India – one of the largest yarn manufacturing companies in the country.

The system will be installed at ST Cottex’s Ludhiana plant as part of the OPEX model of PE Fund’s (Everstone Group) Radiance Solar Investment Arm.

The project uses JA Solar 460 Wp modules and 100 kW Sungrow inverters. It is expected to supply approximately 6.7 million units of electricity in the first year.

Roofsol Energy was ranked among India’s top three EPC contractors for solar rooftop and other on-site solar installations in a 2021 annual report by JMK Research. It has provided solar solutions for everything from dairy farms to tea gardens.
