The book will be published in October and contains 40 exclusive knitting patterns
Tom Daley of Plymouth, Olympic scuba diving champion and avid knitter, will be releasing a knitting book of his own designs this October. Tom took up knitting during lockdown in 2020 and has been seen holding a pair of knitting needles at events around the world.
The book is titled Made with Love, after the diver’s collection of colorful knitting kits that have proved popular with novice and novice knitters alike. This new venture will feature 40 exclusive knit and crochet patterns, with basic garments and chic homeware gracing the pages.
Announcing the surprise release on Twitter, Tom said: “It’s no secret I’m totally obsessed with knitting!! Give me the rope!”

The book will include helpful knitting tips from the diver to encourage readers to take up the craft and discover the joys of knitting and crocheting. Tom has previously said that knitting is a good distraction when he’s competing.
The diver’s announcement was met with an overwhelmingly positive reaction on social media, with fans saying they have already pre-ordered the book, which is due out in the UK on October 27, and can pre-order now.
