The latest Needle and Yarn collection from the local label NandniStudio uses hand embroidery and crochet appliqués and offers garments that are geared towards comfort and style. Crafted from hand-spun, hand-woven cotton, linen and jamdani, these outfits offer class and comfort.
Her accessories made from leftover fabrics and threads are also very chic and can be flaunted with both ethnic and modern silhouettes. From handpicked selections of weavers and fabrics to choosing a mix of dyes, prints, cuts and patterns, the label always seeks to come up with unique designs that reflect traditional Indian craftsmanship fused with modernity.
Sujata Gupta, the founder of the label, says: âAt NandniStudio we value the essential indigenousness, simplicity, comfort and finesse of our fabrics and designs. At the same time, we mix the contemporary with the ethnic fluently. ”
Passionate about handmade items, she ended her corporate career to realize her dream and founded NandniStudio in 2019. The ethnic label has sustainability as one of its core values ââand offers multiple product lines including clothing, upcycling flip flops, handmade crochet jewelry and hair accessories.
They’ve also experimented with crochet techniques and plan to add crocheted beachwear and bags to their range soon.
