Murphy applauds New Jersey manufacturer Better Team USA’s selection of Ralph Lauren’s Opening Ceremony jacket for the 2022 US Olympic and Paralympic teams


Governor Murphy welcomes the selection of New Jersey manufacturer Better Team USA for Ralph Lauren’s jacket for the opening ceremony of the 2022 US Olympic and Paralympic teams

TRETON – Gov. Phil Murphy today welcomed Ralph Lauren’s selection of Clifton, New Jersey-based manufacturer Better Team USA to assemble and manufacture the parka for the opening ceremony for the 2022 US Olympic and Paralympic teams.

“The opening ceremonies of every Olympic and Paralympic Games draw tens of millions of viewers in the United States and even more around the world,” said Governor Murphy. “I’m proud that fans of the Games around the world, as they tune in for the opening ceremonies of the 2022 Games, will see Team USA athletes dressed in Ralph Lauren parkas, made here in New Jersey by Better Team be manufactured in the USA.”

Better Team USA is a luxury outerwear manufacturing facility that has been in business for over 40 years and has been a longtime partner of Ralph Lauren, including making apparel for previous US Olympic and Paralympic teams.

In 2019, Ralph Lauren opened a new corporate headquarters in Nutley with 225 additional jobs, supported by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.
