“This literally doesn’t offend anyone, but I was a little surprised — they took great pride in casting a Latina actress as Snow White,” Dinklage said. “But you still tell the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Take a step back and look at what you’re doing. It doesn’t make any sense to me.”

“I don’t know which studio this is, but they were so proud of it. All love and respect to the actress and to the people who thought they were doing the right thing,” said Dinklage. “But I’m just wondering, what are you doing?”
He later clarified his stance, saying to Maron, “If you tell the story of snow white and it’s the craziest, coolest, progressive spin on it, let’s do it. Everything in it.”
Disney addressed Dinklage’s criticism in a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter Tuesday. A spokesperson told the outlet, “In order not to reinforce stereotypes from the original animated film, we’re taking a different approach with these seven characters and have consulted with members of the dwarf community.”
They added, “We look forward to sharing more as the film enters production after a long period of development.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney’s snow white Remake will have culture advisors and is still in development; It is not expected to be in theaters for several years.
