BestCo LLC is investing an additional $177 million to expand its Mooresville facilities, according to an announcement by the Iredell County Economic Development Corporation and state officials.
The investment, which aims to increase the company’s manufacturing capacity, will create 394 jobs with an average salary of $51,209, slightly above the Iredell County average.
Based in Mooresville, BestCo develops and manufactures over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and nutritional supplements.
The company is relocating to an existing 215,000 square foot manufacturing facility and adding a new facility on the same site.
BestCo invested approximately $50 million in an expansion in 2019. At that time the company had about 500 employees. When the latest expansion is complete, that number will double.
