Janet Costa Stanton | obituaries

Janet Costa Stanton (but prefers to be called “Jeanette”) 88 years old, was born on January 27, 1934 in Fresno and died on June 9, 2022 in Visalia.

She married Eugene Costa and lived most of her adult life in Stratford. They were married 40 years before he died. After being widowed at a young age, she was fortunate enough to be married to Gregory Stanton, Sr. Widowed again, she had a wonderful friendship with her special friend Bill until his death.

Janet was a very creative and talented woman. She loved giving gifts, whether they were sewn, knitted, crocheted or handmade items. She enjoyed the camaraderie and volunteered as the “Pink Lady” with the guild ladies to craft items for their fundraisers for Hanford Hospital.

Her smile was contagious, beautiful and will be remembered by many.

Janet is survived by her beloved dog “Muppet”, son David Costa (Suzanne), daughter Deborah Stewart (George), granddaughter Shelly Dennis (Hoot and family), two stepsons Greg (Joan), Scott (Marsha) and many other family members who affect her loved, especially nephew Richard Moon (Tillie and family).

There’s love that will live forever and there are memories that will shine through heartbreak.

The funeral service will be held at Lemoore Cemetery on Tuesday 12 July at 9:30am.
