day 3 of FDCI X Lakme Fashion Week was full of mysticism and magic, it seemed. From subtle and muted tones to glitz and glam, we’ve seen a fun and balanced mix of many different styles. Each collection left you wanting more and we certainly weren’t disappointed! All in all, the designers did a great job of keeping us intrigued throughout!
Swati KapoorJajaabor & Kiniho
From block prints and elegant pleats to delicate hand embroidery, Swati Kapoorthe collection, The rise, has multiple styles. This line is inspired by a hand painted silk inscription and poem with the name Cheap cranes through Emperor Huizong of Northern Song Dynasty.
Jaajabor‘s line WAH USTA, WAH shares the story of the last of Usta Brothers and their exquisite art form and is sure to feature throughout the collection. kinihoThe collection of is inspired by a Khasi fairy tales of Your Lapalang. It has Eri Silk fabric naturally dyed and handwoven by local weavers Ribhoi District in Meghalaya.

We have nothing but heart eyes for Aisha Rao‘s magic collection! It consists of many different textures, mystical prints and bright colors that are sure to be an instant mood booster! This line shows us that the use of environmentally conscious materials in no way limits the glam factor of the outfits.


Nikita Mhaisalkar
Nikita Mhaisalkarthe collection, terrain consists of motifs, intricate beadwork and expressive quilts on chic separates and stylish ensembles. The line is inspired by the rustic, genuine, textile arts and crafts from North America and the extravagance of Navajo Tribe. It adds a fun and glamorous touch to the overall nomadic vibe.

Kaveri Lalcandpresents her collection, Photos & Memories which makes heavy use of the cyanotype printing technique, a photographic process that produces a blue-green blueprint. Combined with crocheted lace and floral motifs, this line is as feminine, elegant and graceful as it gets!

Aartivijay Gupta and Siddhartha Bansal
Aartivijay Gupta‘s line impresses with an impressive contrast of different prints, which are accentuated with detailed metallic elements. Siddhartha Bansal‘s dreamy collection, Blooming Stories takes you on a mystical journey with blooming flowers and paisley designs. All in all, the line had a beautiful and magical wonderland vibe to it.
